Bucharest PancreaticFest 2023, will take place at the same place as in the previous years, the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Bucharest, on 8th and 9th September. The format of this event has not changed: we’ll spend together two days – the first dedicated to EUS Workshop in Pancreatic Diseases, and the second to Pancreatic Diseases Course. The EUS Workshop Day will be devoted to live case presentations transmitted from Emergency Military Hospital „Dr. Carol Davila” in Bucharest, spaced out by state-of-the-art lectures on hot topics in pancreatology. We take pride in combining basic cases and advanced interventional techniques. We strictly follow the guidelines of the ESGE in order to fulfill a maximal educational benefit for the audience and, at the same time, to maximize our patients’ best interest.

Our 2023 guest faculty consists of international renowned endoscopists, already friends and almost permanent guests such as Peter Vilmann from Copenhagen, Denmark, Erwin Santo from Tel Aviv, Israel, Radu Tutuian from Berne, Switzerland and Rob Hawes from Orlando, USA. At the same time, endo- live facilitates close educational interactions between experts/faculty and attendants – so, please, take this opportunity to ask and shear opinions and experience.

Real time video transmission from the Endoscopy theatre of the Emergency Military Hospital to the Conference Center at the Crowne Plaza Hotel will allow us the two-way communication between the registrants and faculty members. The talks scheduled between live demonstrations will focus on practical issues.

The theme of the second day – the day dedicated to the Pancreatic Diseases Course – is „From basic science to clinical practice in pancreatology” and it is devoted to challenging issues in the diagnosis and management of common pancreatic diseases: pancreatic cancer, acute and chronic pancreatitis.

Peter Hegyi from Budapest – Hungary, a permanent invited speaker and friend of Romanian pancreatologists, will join the audience once again and will give a state-of-the-art lecture entitled Post-Discharge Mortality in Acute Pancreatitis. After this conference another state-of-the-art lecture entitled “Evaluation of patients with acute idiopathic pancreatitis” will be delivered by our friend and world class endoscopist Rob Hawes.

Because of the increasing and challenging cases of IBD in the context of various pancreatic disorders, we decided to introduce in this years’ program a session entitled “Pancreas involvement in inflammatory bowel disease”. We hope that this new session will contribute to our permanent goal of delivering up-to-date knowledge, to help our scientific community stay connected and maintain the commitment to lifelong learning in pancreatology. We are grateful to the faculty members who have stepped up to provide such an insightful and clinically useful event, to our generous corporate supporters and, finally, to all the participants joining us to gain insights and inspiration from our scientific program and from experts propelling the field forward. On behalf of the organizing and scientific committee, thank you for attending, for your continued interest as we are looking forward to an exceptional scientific event aiming to upgrade your knowledge and to support you in your daily clinical practice.

To participate in the meeting virtually, please register through the link https://workshop-pancreas.ro/2023/. Access will only be granted to those who are registered.

We look forward to welcoming you at Bucharest PancreaticFest 2023!

Cordially,
